Hadiza Mohammed is a doctoral student in the Education Policy and Planning Program at the University of Texas at Austin. She has a B.A. in History from Brown University and a Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences degree, focusing in History from The University of Chicago. During her time at The University of Chicago, she worked as a Teachers Assistant in the Chicago Public Schools. Her time as a Teacher's Assistant inspired her to explore a career in education. After earning her M.A., she worked as an Implementation Coordinator for an online math company where she had the opportunity to conduct many classroom observations and work with schools to improve their implementation of the math program. Her tenure as an Implementation Coordinator encouraged her to pursue a career in education. She has an interest in policy creation and implementation. Her dissertation looks at Texas high school student's course-taking behavior under the endorsement system.
