Jinane Sounny-Slitine is doctoral student in the Program for Higher Education Leadership in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at The University of Texas at Austin. She has over 15 years of higher education experience and is a Licensed Masters Social Worker. She serves as an Assistant Adjunct Professor for the Steve Hicks School of Social Work. Her research interests include Arab student experiences, sense of belonging, and equitable policy making. As a critical scholar practitioner, she works towards dismantling systemic educational barriers affecting marginalized and excluded students.
