Karly Conroy is a doctoral student in the Education Policy and Planning program. Her research interests focus on special education policy. More specifically, her interests gear towards the process through which children are identified as having a need for special education services, appropriate placement, and the impact of parent participation for students who are identified as having an emotional disturbance, i.e. anxiety, depression, or withdrawal. Currently, she is working as a Graduate Research Assistant at E3 Alliance where she assists with qualitative research focused on transforming school systems.
Karly received a Master of Education degree in Special Education at the University of North Texas, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Therapy at Oklahoma State University.
