Kelsie Corriston Burnett is a doctoral student in the Language and Literacies Studies program at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests include multiple and multimodal literacies, critical consciousness in elementary students, and how young, agentive students make meaning across spaces. She is currently exploring critical book clubs as sites for transformative justice. Prior to attending UT Austin, Kelsie taught third grade for six years in Los Angeles.
