Kimberly Pack Cosme

Kimberly is a doctoral student in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy. Her research primarily uses quantitative methods to explore policies and practice that impact student success outcomes and alleviate socioeconomic disparities in postsecondary education, stratification within college and its effects on social mobility, and the educational pipeline from high school through graduate education.

Prior to joining UT, Kimberly completed her M.S. in Higher Education and B.S. in English Education at Florida State University and worked in a variety of professional roles, including working as an English Language Arts teacher, an academic program specialist, and a program manager at her alma mater. Her experiences as a working class, first-generation college student, and working professionally within K-16 education inspired her to conduct research on policies and practices that promote socioeconomic equity at various levels in the education system.
