Ph.D. student in STEM Education at the College of Education, The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin), with a fellowship granted by the Graduate School/UT Austin. Holds a Masters degree in Education from the Graduate Program in Education at the School of Education, University of São Paulo (PPGE-FE-USP), an MBA in School Management from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP), and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics, University of São Paulo (IME-USP).
Member of two research groups: Black EpiSTEMologies, affiliated with The University of Texas at Austin, United States, and the Research Group in Critical Mathematics Education (GEPEMC), affiliated with the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Serves as a reviewer for TANGRAM Journal of Mathematics Education (e-ISSN: 2595-0967) and as a Editorial Board of Revista Futuro do Pretérito (student journal of FE-USP) (ISSN: 2675-455X).
Has experience in Mathematics and Education, with an emphasis on Mathematics Teaching and Educational Policies. Research focuses primarily on the following areas: Critical Mathematics Education, STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Rural Education, Educational Equity, Public Education Funding, Mathematics Teaching, and Teacher Education.
