Tuff is an Education Policy and Planning (EPP) doctoral student. Her research has broadly focused on the experiences of students with disabilities and Southeast Asian and Southeast Asian American students to understand how their identities shape their schooling experiences. For example, some of her work has focused on disabilities in the Southeast Asian community specifically Autism. Tuff's other writing has examined how notions of belonging and being known matter for young people's identities and relationships with teachers and other significant adults in school.
Currently, Tuff is interested in how Southeast Asian students with disabilities use their identities navigate school and classroom environments and in pursuit of inclusion in the United States.
