Dr. Sigafoos is a professor of undergraduate students in the Department of Special Education. She is also a cohort coordinator for special education.

Prior to joining the special education faculty at The University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Sigafoos earner her doctoral degrees from UT in special education. She focused on postsecondary students with disabilities and inclusive higher education classrooms. Dr. Sigafoos collaborates with UT's Faculty Innovation Center (FIC) on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in higher education. She has previous experience teaching as an elementary inclusion teacher.

Dr. Sigafoos also teaches for the UT Informal Class program aimed at Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and partners with UT's E4Texas program for adults with IDD. She is also a co-faculty advisor for Best Buddies.
