Through the UT Sport Management program, I was able to intern in the athletic department at Western Kentucky University. I was then hired on as the Assistant General Manager/Director of Media Relations with the Waterloo Bucks baseball team (Northwoods League). Prior to the 2006 season, I was promoted to General Manager. Was named the Northwoods League Executive of the Year in 2008.
Live meaningfully and purposefully. Make decisions and actions that will result in you waking up each morning a better version of yourself and a greater gift to the world.
Cultivate relationships and be ready to work outside of your comfort zone. Treasure the time you have in grad school and be ready to hit the ground running when you get an opportunity for an internship or a real-world job in the area you are interested in. Hook ‘Em!
