Applying for the LEAD Stackable Graduate Certificate – Degree Seeking Students

Application Requirements
- Currently enrolled graduate student at the UT Austin with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the U.S. or equivalent training at a foreign institution.
- A professional statement
- A current resume
- A completed application
Applicants should have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a demonstrated interest in digital literacy, technology integration, K-12 education and equity. The program will consider applications with lower GPAs. If you feel that your GPA or test scores are not valid indicators of your academic ability, please follow up with an email detailing your concerns.
Professional Statement
Make sure your name is at the top of your statement and limit it to 1,000 words or fewer. Be sure to address your
- Experience with K-12, college-level or community education in which you have worked or plan to work with students aged 4-18.
- Interests in digital literacy technology integration, K-12 education, humanizing pedagogy and design of equitable classroom spaces that have drawn you to apply for the LEAD Stackable Certificate.
- Goals for applying the certificate in your professional work during or after program completion.
Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV)
This document should summarize and chronicle your academic and professional positions and achievements, including your awards and/or publications.
Email your resume and professional statement to the C&I Graduate Office.

Spring Semester: November 1
Summer Semester: April 1
Fall Semester: July 1
Please note: the LEAD Stackable Graduate Certificate accepts rolling admissions. We will review applications as they are submitted.
Application Status
Once all application materials are uploaded and completed, the faculty will engage in a review process that will take an estimated two weeks.
