Education Policy and Planning
Her research explores the socioeconomic factors that contribute to a students success, and how communities can engage in collaborative approaches to policy implementation at the local, state and national levels.
Before attending UT, Brooke helped pilot a retention project to support graduating seniors in their final semester(s) at San Diego State University. Under the AVP of Academic Affairs, her team was awarded 2 Million dollars from the CSU chancellor's office to target seniors with specific "economic precarity factors" that dropped out due to COVID. During her time in this role, she helped re-enroll over 120 students into the program.
