Cierra Campbell Bridges is a proud wife and mom, born and raised in Richmond, Texas. She began her educational journey at The University of Texas at Austin in August 2006. She earned her bachelors of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development and a Master’s degree in College and University Student Personnel Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. Motivated by the inequity an the injustices of this world, Cierra is currently a doctoral student in Higher Education Leadership and Policy program in hopes that "what starts here IS changing this world."

After completing her undergraduate coursework Cierra grew interested in access and equity issues in higher education and believes all students who want to pursue college should be able to do so. Cierra is currently an Assistant Director supporting the needs of transfer students and is excited to continue helping students and families make UT Austin their home away from home.

Cierra has worked at The University of Texas at Austin for over a decade supporting the needs of students, faculty, and staff in various roles within the Office of the Registrar, International Office, Student Success Initiatives, McCombs School of Business, and most recently the Office of Admissions.

In her scholarly work, Cierra is interested in researching the unique needs of Black Women at predominantly white institutions.

Lastly, Cierra is grateful for the support of her village: her husband, family, friends, and mentors who keep her reminded of just how capable she is to do any and everything she wants both in and outside the classroom.
