Jarrett Lipman

Jarrett's research concentrates on fine arts education in urban schools. Jarrett worked at Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in San Antonio for fifteen years, thirteen of which he spent as the head band director. Under Jarrett's leadership, the Johnson Band was named the 2020 UIL 6A State Marching Champion. He also works as a part-time lecturer at Texas State University in the music education program and, during the summer, serves as the Brass Caption Manager for the Boston Crusaders Drum Corps. He is passionate about sharing ideas and investing in the growth of other directors in our profession and works as an instructional coach for teachers nationwide.
