Kaila M. Campos is a doctoral student, her interest is guided by low-income first-generation college Latinos and their intersectionality’s evolvement based on student affairs planning and identity development within early access programs. She has experience working in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as she has facilitated workshops, certifications, and transformational leadership development. She is a Graduate Research Assistant to Dr. Stella Flores. Her previous research is on mental health in higher education and intersectionality within first generation identities.

She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio in Communication and Multidisciplinary Studies (Public Administration, Psychology, Interdisciplinary Studies). She obtained her master’s at the University of the Incarnate Word in Higher Education in Student Services. Kaila's Clifton Strengths are Command, Achiever, Input, Learner, Restorative.

When she’s not immersed in her professional endeavors, Kaila enjoys reading, legos, and baking. She is a passionate advocate for lifelong learning and continues to inspire others through her commitment to education and social change as a first-generation college student.
