María José is a Doctoral student in the Curriculum and Instruction Department. Before coming to UT, she worked as a Preschool Teacher and as an assistant professor at the College of Education at Costa Rica University.
Her research interests are the preparation of Bilingual Preschool Teachers; Preservice teachers' beliefs about language use, and the Interactions between Children, Teachers, and Parents in the use of language.
