Reyna (she/her/ella) is a doctoral student in the Program in Higher Education Leadership in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at The University of Texas at Austin. She is also working full-time with Student Success Initiatives at UT supporting first-year students with high financial need.

Reyna is a first-generation Latina student and daughter of migrant and seasonal farmworkers who grew up in the Rio Grande Valley in deep south Texas. As a College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) scholar, Reyna gained interest in educational inequities that led her to pursue a career in higher education. Her vast experience in higher education ranges throughout the educational pipeline. She has almost ten years of full-time work experience working with students with similar backgrounds, first-generation, low-income, and ethnically diverse college students.

Her research interests include migrant students, Latina/o/x students, and student success. Reyna is the President of the St. Edward's University CAMP Alumni Association. She also serves as the Staff Co-Chair Elect for the Hispanic Faculty and Staff Association at The University of Texas at Austin.
