SeongGyeong Park

SeongGyeong is a doctoral student in the Education Policy and Planning program. Her research examines school-community partnerships for historically marginalized students and families, especially immigrant families, and school/district leaders' responses to it. She has contributed to the advocacy for marginalized students and families through research regarding state- and local-level educational policies (e.g., classroom censorship, dual credit funding, and early college advising). She has supported K-20 students who are primarily low-income, first-generation, and immigrant students in various countries. She is currently supporting parenting students with research and one-on-one support at the Transfer-Year Experience Office.
