SeongGyeong Park is a doctoral candidate in the Education Policy and Planning program at UT Austin. She has contributed to advocating for marginalized students and families in diverse countries. Based on her experiences, SeongGyeongs research focuses on parenting and equity in education. Her first research strand examines immigrant parental engagement and school leaders' responses. Her second research strand, rooted in her service at UT Austin, focuses on supporting parenting students. She co-developed the Lunch & Learn workshop series for graduate and post-doc student parents funded by the Office of Career and Life Design for two years and is in the process of establishing the first UT student organization for parenting graduate students and post-docs.
