Dr. Allison Skerrett moderated a discussion with a distinguished panel of Black education leaders from the Austin community.

Assistant Professor Owen Beck’s new research study examines the intersection of biomechanics, mobility and footwear. The study found that women and men who frequently don high-heeled footwear can actually become more efficient walkers, and that custom high-heeled shoes may have positive implications for athletes or for people with mobility issues.
