Financial Support

Financial Support is Available!

Finding all of the financial support options that are available to incoming students can be a daunting task when you consider that there are opportunities at the department, college, and university levels.

First and foremost, you should know that you may receive a fellowship or employment offer based on the strength of your application materials, so be sure to put together the strongest application you can. Departmental admissions committees typically decide what to offer.

Recruitment Fellowships

The university has several graduate recruitment fellowships that departmental admissions committees can offer to prospective students. The college and departments also have recruitment fellowships to offer. You do not need to take any additional steps to apply for these awards other than to be sure to apply by the deadline provided on your department’s how-to-apply page.

Campus Visit Awards

Students offered a Graduate School fellowship who are still deciding whether to attend the university may be eligible to receive a campus visit award to reimburse you for the cost of visiting the Forty Acres. Your department will notify you of this opportunity.

Employment

Your offer may include an opportunity of employment in one of the following positions:

  • Teaching Assistant
  • Assistant Instructor
  • Graduate Research Assistant
  • Academic Assistant
  • Tutor
