Design Thinking Sparks Novel Research Among Newly Tenured Faculty

The Associate Professor Experimental (APX) retreat offers newly tenured UT faculty the opportunity to explore cross-disciplinary projects using design methodologies. Julie Schell, assistant professor of Educational Leadership and Policy, served as one of the facilitators. The retreat resulted in innovative projects, such as a game-based geoscience instructional tool co-created by North Cooc, associate professor of special education at COE.
The Daily Texan: Sport Management Hall renamed after seasoned department contributors

The Sport Management hallway in Bellmont Hall will carry the name of UT alumnus and longtime program supporter, Bryan Moynihan, and his wife Andree. The naming follows his latest gift, which establishes a second endowment and renovations for the space.
