To commemorate Black History Month, the College of Education welcomed a small group of Precursors – the first Black undergraduate students who integrated The University of Texas at Austin – back to campus to share their stories.

The Associate Professor Experimental (APX) retreat offers newly tenured UT faculty the opportunity to explore cross-disciplinary projects using design methodologies. Julie Schell, assistant professor of Educational Leadership and Policy, served as one of the facilitators. The retreat resulted in innovative projects, such as a game-based geoscience instructional tool co-created by North Cooc, associate professor of special education at COE.

The Sport Management hallway in Bellmont Hall will carry the name of UT alumnus and longtime program supporter, Bryan Moynihan, and his wife Andree. The naming follows his latest gift, which establishes a second endowment and renovations for the space.

The Andree and Bryan Moynihan Sport Management Hall will recognize successful sport management alumni to inspire generations of Longhorns. The Moynihan’s gift will also create a second endowment to support current and future students.
