Design Thinking Sparks Novel Research Among Newly Tenured Faculty

The Associate Professor Experimental (APX) retreat offers newly tenured UT faculty the opportunity to explore cross-disciplinary projects using design methodologies. Julie Schell, assistant professor of Educational Leadership and Policy, served as one of the facilitators. The retreat resulted in innovative projects, such as a game-based geoscience instructional tool co-created by North Cooc, associate professor of special education at COE.
