Partnership with Breakthrough Central Texas

We strongly encourage our Urban Teachers students to become Breakthrough Fellows during the summer with Breakthrough Central Texas in order to further develop their teaching skills by leading a small class of middle school students as part of a paid internship. These students are motivated and working to become the first in their families to graduate from college.

Breakthrough Central Texas is part of a national network called Breakthrough Collaborative which is dedicated to supporting first-generation college students as they earn their degrees.
