Assistant Professor Terrance Green and former Associate Professor Mark Gooden (now at Columbia University) were recently interviewed on “The Voice,” a bi-weekly web series published by the Teachers College Record about their article on the Detroit desegregation case Milliken v. Bradley I (1974) that lost in the Supreme court in a 5 -4 vote. The article, “A Wrong Without a Remedy: Over 40 Years After Milliken v. Bradley I (1974) and Its Progeny in the Fight for Educational Equity,” was part of a special issue that focused on Milliken and the detrimental effects the case’s loss continues to have on Detroit and Detroit’s public schools.
