Brian Farr has received the 2019 Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer award by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Farr has been the director of the College of Education’s Athletic Training program since it began in 2002.
“Brian Farr is one of the most dedicated and exacting teachers we have. He sets very high standards, which serve to build a sense of community in his students who, in turn, perform well above national and state standards on their certification exams. I especially appreciate his efforts to bring this perspective to our department where, as the coordinator of our undergraduate programs, he managed our efforts to restructure and create new areas of study.” says John Bartholomew, Kinesiology and Health Education department chair.
The award recognizes NATA members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to leadership, volunteer service, advocacy, and distinguished professional activities as an athletic trainer.
