The College of Education Introduces the Inaugural Distinguished Alumni Awards

A new opportunity to recognize College of Education alumni is here with the launch of the college’s inaugural Distinguished Alumni Awards.

The awards will consist of two main recognitions to celebrate the accomplishments of talented alumni who are making a meaningful impact and embody the mission, vision and values of our college. The Early Career Award will honor recent graduates and early career COE Longhorns who are making their mark in Texas and beyond through their respective areas of work and study. The Distinguished Career Award will celebrate the lasting impact of longtime Longhorns who have left a positive footprint in the fields of education, health, sport and more. The college is currently accepting nominations and will do so through the fall.

A committee composed of College of Education students, faculty, staff and alumni will review each nomination in search of candidates whose work and accomplishments have contributed to improving the lives of children, communities or places of learning and exemplified the college’s signature impact areas. Among the qualities that will set nominees apart are demonstrated integrity and ability, a determination to create change for the better and a commitment to living out the college’s vision, mission and goals.

We’re thrilled to introduce the Distinguished Alumni Awards as a way to honor the incredible work of our College of Education graduates. These awards highlight the positive impact our alumni are making, and it’s a great opportunity to celebrate those who are transforming the future of education, health and sport.
