Research, Impact and Achievements: Mid-May 2025

Educational Leadership and Policy

Liliana Garces • Professor

Department of Educational Leadership and Policy professor Liliana Garces co-authored a report with the Council for Graduate Studies titled Supporting Fair and Inclusive Graduate Programs, A Resource for Faculty and Universities. The report comes as a result of a project launched by CGS in 2023 to support graduate education with a focus on equity amidst a difficult legal landscape following that year’s Supreme Court decision on higher education admissions and subsequent litigation at the state and federal level. The report is meant to be a tool for faculty, staff and administrators as part of an effort to provide widespread understanding of legally sound practices that help graduate students have fair access and opportunities for success in graduate programs.
