Geoff Rich Awarded Faculty Mentor of the Year

Kinesiology and Health Education Teaching Specialist Geoff Rich has been awarded the Faculty Mentor of the Year by the Division of Housing and Food Service. Geoff has served as a faculty mentor for 2 semesters in the Waller Creek area dormitories. The Faculty Mentor Program provides the opportunity for faculty to become involved in residence hall programming and interact with students in a more relaxed setting.

The Faculty Mentor of the Year award recognizes a mentor who showed outstanding involvement and commitment in their residence hall. It honors those who demonstrate a high quality of involvement and communication with residence hall staff and residents. Geoff was noted for bringing positivity and cheerfulness to the Waller Creek community.

Geoff teaches physical education courses as well as topics in elementary and secondary physical education curriculum, teacher education, fitness education, culture of youth sports, and service learning.
