John Richard Wright, BS ’08 has been named Physics Teacher of the Year for Central Texas by PhysTEC, the Physics Teacher Education Coalition. The award recognizes Wright as an exemplary teacher in his field. The PhysTEC program demonstrates the value of physics teacher preparation programs at member institutions such as UT Austin. Wright teaches at St. Andrews Episcopal School in Austin. PhysTEC also honored UTeach Natural Sciences for preparing five or more physics teachers last year.
