ELP Student Wins TACHE Higher Education Graduate Fellowship Award

Jorge Burmicky, Department of Educational Leadership and Policy graduate student, was one of four recipients of the 2019 Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education (TACHE) Graduate Fellowship Award.

The fellowship awards $2,000 to students whose emphasis is in community college education and leadership studies at the graduate level. Burmicky will be recognized at the 44th Annual TACHE Conference in February. Fellowship award recipients will contribute to the next annual conference by giving a presentation, serving on a committee, or volunteering during the conference.

Created in 1975, TACHE is a professional association committed to the improvement of educational and employment opportunities for Chicanos in higher education.
