The Path to Becoming a Personal Trainer Starts at UT Austin

Austin Fit Magazine – a locally owned monthly magazine focused on inspiring people to live healthier lifestyles for more than 25 years – recently highlighted the powerful educational impact that the College of Education’s Department of Kinesiology and Health Education has on students interested in becoming personal trainers.

Citing invaluable resources such as the H.J Lutcher Stark Center for Physical Culture and Sport, the Fitness Institute of Texas and the rigor of the Applied Movement Science and Exercise Science programs, Austin Fit Magazine noted, “Students… are well prepared for an academic career and go on to physical therapy, occupational therapy and even dental and medical school.”
