Bonnie Elliott, a Clinical Assistant Professor in Language and Literacy Studies in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, has been recognized in the Texas Exes’ Texas Ten awards. The Texas Ten are faculty members who are nominated by alumni as their favorite professor during their time at the University of Texas at Austin.
Elliott works closely with Galindo Elementary School, and her students complete a great deal of field work there. “The key is helping them find their own voice, their own way of doing things,” Elliott says.
This is the third consecutive year a College of Education faculty has been named to the Texas Ten. Jessica Toste was nominated in 2017, and Katie Tackett was nominated in 2016.
