Thomas Hunt Receives Retrospective Article Award from the Journal of Sport History

 

Kinesiology and Health Education Associate Professor Thomas Hunt has received the Best Article of the Year Award from the Journal for Sport History. The award is a retrospective honor, looking back on the best articles published by the journal for each year from 1974. Hunt was selected as the 2006 winner for his article American Sport Policy and the Cultural Cold War: The Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Years. 

The article was selected by members of the North American Society for Sport History (NASSH). The Journal for Sport History is an official publication of the NASSH that promotes the history of sport through research articles, documents, commentary, and review. 

Thomas Hunt teaches courses in sport, sport history, sport law, sport and ethics, and fitness and the mass media, and is also the assistant director for academic affairs at the H.J. Lutcher Stark Center for Physical Culture and Sports.
