Karen L Haas
In her role as Clinical Training Director for the Counselor Education Program, Karen Haas teaches specialization and core courses and supervises graduate students in school-based and university Practicum and Internship. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership, with an interdisciplinary emphasis in educational psychology, from the University of Dayton. Haas' professional expertise includes K-12 teaching and counseling and higher educational advising, teaching and administration. Her administrative leadership and service spans over 10 years of counselor education program directorship at the University of Central Arkansas, California State University, Bakersfield, and the University of West Florida. Haas is a strong student advocate, and the formation of graduate students' counselor identites and transformation into professional counselors is integral to her work.
